Thank you Veterans!

The Lewis County Republican Party believes honoring our veterans means more than words – it means standing firm for the country they fought for, the values they sacrificed for, and the flag they never turned their back on.

To every every veteran here in Lewis County: THANK YOU. We live free because of your courage, your sacrifice, and your love of country.

A Message from our Chair:

Today, we pause to honor our Veterans, especially our local heroes.

These brave men and women answered the call of duty, standing in defense of the country we love and the values that make the United States strong, free, and worth fighting for.

But true honor requires more than words; it requires action. We must ensure those who served receive the care they need, the respect they deserve, and the opportunities they have earned.

For many of us, Veterans Day carries deep meaning. Our families have answered the call to serve – from the battlefields of the Revolutionary War to the mountains of Afghanistan. Each generation’s service reminds us that love of country is more than words; it’s a willingness to sacrifice for something greater than ourselves.

The battles we face now are different in form, but they demand the same courage and conviction our veterans showed on the front lines: a steadfast commitment to freedom, justice, and the ideals that define America.

President Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” His words remind us that the responsibility to defend liberty does not rest solely on the shoulders of our veterans; it continues with us.

We share a common foundation of faith, freedom, and courage. May we stand united so that our enemies will not prevail, our freedoms will not falter, and American values will endure for generations to come.

To every Veteran: thank you for your sacrifice, your courage, and your love for the greatest country on earth — the United States of America.
